| Most gesture learning systems are limited to particular sensors or are trained on data from unnecessary body parts. Such systems lack scalability, which may have an impact on the recognition rate of gestures. To resolve this issue, this paper proposes a gesture learning and recognition system that may be implemented with various 3D sensors. Moreover, we classify the human body into parts to be used for a gesture based on human kinematics, and allow the user to select the parts to learn from using a hidden Markov model (HMM). |
