In this study related to human–machine interaction and natural user interface (NUI) technology, we design a system that does not include traditional input devices such as the mouse, keyboard, or joystick. Instead, a user uses only hand and arm gestures to interact with the devices and software of the system. An armband is used for obtaining the status of the user’s arm. Gestures are recognized and used to control a drone in real time. We also record real-time video from a camera integrated in the drone. The video is transferred to a headmounted display (HMD). The user can wear an HMD and control the drone in real time like a pilot by using hand and arm gestures. |
